LCPL Brown was raised lovingly by a concrete finisher and a school librarian. Timothy helped with his mother’s care after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He also completed a course to be an auto mechanic. He thought about a career in the sheriff’s department. But with a lot of his friends joining the military, Mrs. Brown explained that though she worried about his choice, “Timothy was proud to honor his country and he loved God,” she added. “He always told me, ‘When it’s time, no matter where I’m at, God’s going to call me.’ … I’m honored to be His, mom.”

Mrs. Brown remembers her son as a happy-go-lucky person who smiled easily and often, had lots of friends. He was a varsity wrestler and soccer player at Sacramento’s Foothill High School. Tim was engaged to be married to his high school sweetheart, Ashley Milami. “They were madly in love and they had their whole lives planned,” Mrs. Brown said.

To his friends and family Timothy will be remembered as a one of a kind man that was very proud to serve his country.
