Steve Routson, 58, of Oxford, died Sunday, July 20, 2008. Steve was born January 1, 1950. He was raised by his parents, William and Caroll Contell, in Des Moines, Iowa, where he attended Lincoln High School, and went to Drake University. In his third year of college, Steve enlisted in the Army and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. Steve was employed at the Oxford Prison for 22 years, retiring in 2000.

Steve is survived by his sons, Chad (Carrie) Routson of Reedsburg, Eric (Deann) Routson of Portage, Adam (Jolene) Routson of Pardeeville; a brother, Dave (Marg) Routson of Minnesota; and his five grandchildren, Cohl, Madison, Alyssa, Ashlyn and Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents.
