Captain Ryan Preston Hall passed on February 18, 2012 as the result of an airplane crash in Djibouti on the Horn of Africa. His aircraft was returning from a reconnaissance mission in support of the war in Afghanistan. His bravery and courageous act shows his true passion and dedication to his country.

Ryan Preston Hall was born on December 10, 1981 to his parents Dennis and Kliffa Hall in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He attended Pine Creek High School, which he graduated from in 2000. Ryan loved the outdoors and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, as well as playing golf. He enjoyed traveling with his girlfriend, Marianne “Mae” Vicente, and he was known as the life of the party.

He entered the Air Force in 2004 receiving his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corp at The Citadel, the Military School of South Carolina. Hall was assigned to the 319th Special Operations Squadron at Hulburt Field, Florida.

Hall is survived by his parents, Dennis and Kliffa; two brothers, Brandon Hall and Damon Hall; and his grandmothers, Jean Hall and Nayda Nunn. Ryan was also a loving uncle to Erika, Natalie, Izabelleh, Evan and Noah. Ryan’s courageous and brave efforts will forever be remembered, as Ryan truly loved and defended his country. His dedication to preserve our freedom puts us forever in his debt, and he leaves a tremendous legacy behind.
