HENDERSON, N.V., U.S.A. U.S. ARMY SPC, CO C, 1ST BN,37TH ARMOR,(1MEF), FRIEDBERG, GERMANY 08/09/2006, SOUTHERN RAMADI, IRAQ

SPC Ramirez was born August 23, 1983, in Los Angeles. He was nicknamed Nacho. He lived in Henderson, Nevada. Ignacio was a very happy person who lived life to the fullest. He was a very active person who loved sports from baseball to bungee jumping.

Everywhere he went he had no problem making friends and winning their hearts over. If you knew him, you would know that if you were down he could always find a way to cheer you up. If you needed an ear to listen he would be there. He was not quick to judge anyone. He was honest and had a true heart that put others first. He touched so many lives and he will be missed by so many and will never be forgotten – from The Ramirez Family

Ignacio was a “good-natured” kid with “the biggest smile” who was on a mission to help fight the nation’s war on terrorism. “He joined while the country was at war. … He was a good kid. He was a hero,” his stepfather, Robert Vance, said. “He joined the Army to better his life and help his country.”
