He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was attached to the 4th Infantry Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom in March 2003, where he served until August 2003.

Donald was married to Tiera L. Snyder Woodward for 5 years on May 19th. He is greatly missed by his brother, and countless family and friends.

Donald Woodward loved the outdoors, football, hiking and animals. He enjoyed spending time with his family and extended family.

“Ten years ago this week, Donald Wade Woodward, a veteran of Iraqi Freedom, lost his battle with PTSD. I think the greatest fear in losing someone this way is that they have been forgotten or that their sacrifice was in vain. Their loss, however, is no less devastating. He had such a beautiful, contagious smile and light within. Please help us honor his memory. Forever loved. Forever missed.” Tribute submitted by Misty Taylor-Cross at Love What Matters, March 2016
