LCPL Corey A. Little, a helicopter chew chief, was killed on February 22, 2012 during a training exercise.

Wanda Little, mother of CPL Little said her son played baseball while growing up in Fayetteville, just south of Atlanta. “He loved the outdoors,” his mother added. “He loved to read. He was a very avid reader.”

Nicole Little, the wife LCPL Corey A. Little, said her husband was passionate about what he did and recently learned he would soon be a father. LCPL Corey Little, 25, of Marietta, GA, a the crew chief “absolutely loved his job. He loved everything about helicopters. It was his passion.”

“You think it’s never going to be you,” explained Nicole Little. “You hear it on the news and you shed a tear for someone. You just never honestly think it would be you.”
