He was a young man willing to sacrifice for each of us, the gift us with precious freedom and permit us to live the American way. This young man dignified the uniform of the American serviceman and we will remember him always for the awesome sacrifice he made on our behalf. Thank you SPC Patton.

Specialist Patton was chosen by StiggysDogs to have a service dog named in his honor. Patton the dog will work as a partner with a veteran in need of physical and or psychological assistance. Patton will continue service to the military and to the nation begun by his name sake Specialist Patton through this special program. SPC Patton’s mother Sandy Kottre and her husband Greg were contacted by Jennifer Petre. Petre received a message back from Sandy Orr Kottre saying “I would be very honored…..thank you so much”….

The Infantryman’s Creed

I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained soldier in the world in the race for victory. I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always will I fight on through the foe, to the objective, to triumph over all. If necessary I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage I have won 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds. For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty.
